DIVArchive v.6.1

The focus of continuous investment and innovation, and protected by three U.S. patents, DIVArchive has become the CSM application preferred by the world's leading media companies and will be on display at IBC2008. The newly released DIVArchive v.6.1 continues to deliver powerful functionality to meet the evolving needs of global broadcasters. Key enhancements include:

DIVAprotect
DIVAprotect is an option for DIVArchive that provides continuous monitoring of storage devices and media performance and warns of degradation before it results in catastrophic data loss. This enables the user to predict and prevent storage failures by preemptive replacement of storage drives and media. DIVAprotect brings a new level of content preservation security to DIVArchive.

DIVAnalyze
DIVAnalyze is a hardware- and software-based automated quality assessment tool that adds another invaluable content-aware feature to the already rich set available in DIVArchive. Presented to users through the DIVAdirector Web-based interface, DIVAnalyze enables improvement of efficiency, reliability, and repeatability of video and audio quality control, particularly in situations involving batch content ingest. The analysis step in the content lifecycle can be dynamically defined in DIVArchive, leveraging the company's proven Storage Plan Manager. Control systems such as MAM, newsroom, or automation can also define which content should be analyzed as part of the CSM process.

DIVAdirector
This distributed, Web-based content management application addresses the most fundamental asset management requirements for global broadcasters. DIVAdirector provides active tracking of all assets in the DIVArchive system and allows users to browse content leveraging automatically generated low bit rate proxies, create frame-accurate shot lists, and access a flexible asset metadata model using robust query tools. With these powerful content management capabilities, DIVAdirector offers significant workflow benefits for operators of DIVArchive. DIVAdirector can be actively linked to external databases to provide a comprehensive and consolidated view of all metadata from a single configurable and secure interface.

DIVAnet
DIVAnet allows customers to leverage the core power of DIVArchive to provide advanced content replication, disaster recovery, and business continuance functionality across multiple facilities. Not only can DIVAnet intelligently replicate content between facilities, but it also provides a fundamental toolset for advanced content-lifecycle control for effective multisite CSM.

Networked storage and broadcast facilities equipped with "DIVAnet-connected" DIVArchive systems can manage ongoing and automated bidirectional replication of assets stored at any facility. DIVAnet can also be used to connect multiple installations of Front Porch Digital's DIVAworks archive-in-a-box solution.

DIVAnet's automated content exchange across distributed and redundant CSM systems delivers full disaster recovery capabilities. Based on user-configurable policies, DIVAnet ensures that two or more facilities can share identical digital media libraries and also provides the means for one facility -- equipped with the requisite playout infrastructure -- to duplicate and take over the other facility's program transmission in the event of failure, natural disaster, or other catastrophe.

DIVAgrid
DIVAgrid builds on the already robust, distributed architecture of DIVArchive. Each DIVAgrid Actor contains up to nine TB of RAID5-protected storage per node. Any number of DIVAgrid Actors can be added to a DIVArchive system providing virtual nearline capacity equal to the sum of each of the individual node storage capacities. Each DIVAgrid Actor also can be optionally paired with Front Porch Digital's in-path content transcoding solution or, alternatively, with a DIVAnalyze automated content quality assurance engine to truly embody the concept of "active" storage.

DIVAworks
The DIVAworks family is a range of plug-and-play content storage and protection solutions designed for users in television, post-production, and other media-related fields. DIVAworks offers the essential advantages of Front Porch Digital's proven DIVArchive technology in a convenient and aggressively priced turnkey solution.

These DIVAworks solutions are especially appropriate for television and post-production companies who require secure storage for an increasing amount of valuable content, but who are not yet ready to install a larger, more complex solution. The DIVAworks family offers cost-effective and easy-to-install packages that deliver the fundamental archiving capabilities of DIVArchive CSM technology in a solution that readily integrates into any customer's file-based workflow.
