SOLUTIONS RADIO expands INTERNET RECEIVER capabilities

Delft, August 2007 - Solutions Radio BV, with its headquarters in Delft, Netherlands will use the forthcoming IBC to show a number of new applications and expansions of its stand-alone Internet receiver, which can be operated without a PC !

Presently more than 1100 churches use the ChurchWebradio system (Internet receiver and Internet transmitter) to reach their shut-ins using a standard analogue telephone line or DSL connection. The receiver is now also available with a wifi interface. This is new.

The same concept is used for ethnic radio to distribute homeland programs to a closed-user-group of ethnic people. The Russian, Greek , Hmong and Indo-Caribbean communities in the USA are already being served in this way. Whereas previously only one or a few programs were available via AM, FM or an SCA channel, now the choice in the number of programs is endless. Distance is no longer an issue.

The Solutions Radio Internet receiver is perfectly suited for the fast growing market of delivery of real-time music and advertisements to stores over the Internet.
The In-Store-Webbbox can be fully managed from a distance and is now also available with a back-up feature. You are never without audio! This too is new.

The simplicity in use also lends itself to another closed-user-group. For those who have difficulty in operating a PC to listen to audio programs, such as the elderly or visually impaired the ORIONWebbox (acronym for on-line reading and information on demand) is available with specially developed software. This software enables an interactive spoken program guide to help navigate to the desired radio station, spoken newspaper or talking book. Audible prompts guide one through various options, which only need to be confirmed by operating one button. Consequently one can listen to audio streams without the need of PC or display. Once again a new and unique feature!
