Miranda Targets Mid-sized Broadcasters at IBC with the Launch of a New Cost-Effective 4U Kaleido-X Multi-Image Display Processor.

Montreal - July 4, 2007 - Miranda Technologies today announced that it will launch a new version of the Kaleido-X multi-image display processor at IBC that will offer moderately-sized operations all the benefits and advanced features of the original Kaleido-X in a cost effective 4U frame.

The new Kaleido-X FR4 can display any of its 32 HD/SD-SDI and Analogue inputs, any number of times, at different resolutions and sizes up to full screen, over four monitors without any grouping restrictions.

Both Kaleido-X platforms share a common manual control system for remote panel or mouse button. Layout configurations can be changed instantly with XEdit software, and users can dynamically zoom one source larger for quality control or audio monitoring of an on-screen source.

All the multi-image outputs can be grouped to create highly integrated monitoring systems. Alternatively, the displays can be controlled independently for multi-room environments, using one or more remote control panels.

The Kaleido-X FR4 and the Kaleido-X FR7 are architectured with no single point of failure and ultra robust mechanical design which are two essential features for highly critical live applications. Each card is truly hot swappable and will be reconfigured automatically without intervention from an operator for faster recovery. In addition, if an install involves both the 4RU and 7RU versions, customers won't have to stock two different sets of spares.

Miranda's IBC line up will also include multiple new products across the breadth of the company's range; the Imagestore 750 HD/SD master control switching and channel branding processor with Xpanel control software, the Densite Series XVP-1801 Up/Down/Cross Converter with AFD and the iControl remote station monitoring (RSM) package.
