At the end of 2006 Chrosziel has launched the new lens testing Projector MK5. The unit features an improved slider which has nearly twice the size of its base than the predecessor. The previously offered wireless remote control is now substituted by the cable depending unit. Available with different custom tailored cable lengths it allows to precisely adjust the projection's sharpness and thus determining the position of the back-focal-length. The unit is independently operated with a common 9 Volt block battery. Besides more precise and convenient measuring of the back-focal-length the remote control eases the detection of colour aberrations, as the eye is nearer to the projected picture of the test slide. Instead of having to walk between the projector and the screen the tester stands near the screen and controls everything with one hand. .
