NEW AT IBC 2006:

* MORPHEUS CONTROL AND MONITORING – IBC 2006 sees the newest addition to the Morpheus family – Morpheus Control and Monitoring (MCM). Joining the globally successful Morpheus Automation and Playout platform and Morpheus Media Management, MCM is the company’s next generation control platform. It contains major new features for the management of broadcast systems and media workflow and it allows customers to design their own user interfaces to suit individual requirements. Browse, master and router control as well as live recording and ingest from tape functionality are all supplied on the same platform.

* MORPHEUS GATEWAY – Another addition to the Media Management platform, this allows the third party delivery of files straight into a given system providing a seamless delivery and access.

IBC DEBUTS:

* VALID8 – This is the European show debut for the new HD, 8-channel audio version of Vistek’s highly regarded VALID (Video and Audio Line-up and Identification) system. VALID8 allows audio/video sync problems – a major issue in the modern broadcasting environment – to be quickly and accurately diagnosed and subsequently rectified. VALID8 works with any HD or SD standard and produces a virtually indestructible signal – it can be compressed, recorded, replayed and even standards converted with the VALID8 signal then measured for video/audio delay.

* CIFER – IBC 2006 will also see the launch of CIFER from the Vistek range, a joint development with Digital Vision. Utilising a combined 60 man-years’ of expertise, the two companies have developed the ultimate standards converter: it can convert between all the primary HD standards (regardless of frequency), any SD standard and from SD to HD or vice versa with practically no loss of picture quality, and incorporates Digital Vision’s renowned motion compensation technology.
